I graduated from Nashville High School and then received my bachelor’s in English education from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. I am currently working on my master’s in reading from Arkansas State University. I am also certified in Oral Communications and ESL.
I began teaching at Dierks in 2017 where I currently teach Junior and Senior English, Oral Communications, and 8th grade Ramp-Up. Before Dierks, I taught at Hope High School for seven years. During my time at Hope, I taught 9-12 English, Oral Communications, Journalism, and Yearbook. I was also the Student Council advisor, so I was in charge of all homecoming activities and the ceremony, blood drives, the pageant and talent show, prom, and the annual powder puff game.
I married my college sweetheart in 2011 and we live in Nashville. Currently, we do not have any children, but we have several dogs and a cat that we consider our “fur-babies.”
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside. I am an avid hunter and fisher and I like to go on long rides in my Jeep. I am currently trying to teach myself the art of hand lettering.
