In anticipation of tonight's basketball game versus Caddo Hills being well attended by both schools, there will be a very limited number of general admission tickets available. We have decided to open the admission gate at 5:00 to accommodate for a larger crowd. Passes will be accepted for those without a voucher until the gym capacity has been met. For those unable to attend, the game will be live-streamed on the Dierks High School Facebook page. In response to Governor Hutchinson’s announcement yesterday, we have been advised by the Arkansas Activities Association to continue following the same COVID-19 protocols as before.

With concern of the secondary roads on the bus routes that are still covered with snow and forecasted temperatures below freezing during the early morning hours, the Dierks School District will continue with virtual learning on Monday, February 22nd. Another area of concern is the number of households currently without water so we're asking parents to expect communication tomorrow to provide us with updated information to best serve our students.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. Friday, February 12th is one of our celebration days. Your child’s teacher will share details on class plans. The school will accept deliveries until noon that Friday. If you are having the florist deliver, it would be helpful to complete your order early. Please remember glass and balloons are not allowed on school buses. They can also be difficult for children to manage safely. Thank you for all of your support especially with the extra guidelines this year because of COVID-19.
